Honeymoon Mutation

Sasha and I are excited to announce that our post-election honeymoon has mutated into an almost-year long international work and travel hybrid. We’re also going to develop complimentary superpowers. I am hoping to turn steel into yogurt. Sasha is working on a Storm-esque control of weather that can generate a light drizzle of our fruit of choice.

Yes, you read that right. Okay, not the yogurt part, but the rest is true. We are leaving our respective jobs, selling our home and preparing our ill-tempered cat for a year on her own in the woods of Shenandoah National Park (For those of you calling the SPCA, she’ll be at the in-laws).

Our blog, a neglected archive of our wedding bliss, is reborn — it’s name as catchy as ever. It will document our journey for the next year. Our website will be a repository for the “ah ha”s, “oh no”s and the “?!”s of our voyage. Perhaps most importantly, it will be a life-line to friends, family and colleagues – and a Siren’s song willing you to join us (Seriously, we want you to meet up with us).

Stay tuned for answers to questions like: Wait, really? Where are you going? For serious?
