Slow Boat to Luang Prabang

I am sitting at the Arthouse Cafe in Luang Prabang, Laos uploading a video and drinking a delicious cup of Lao coffee.

We arrived in Luang Prabang last night after two days on the “slow boat” from Huay Xai. The boat ride was a welcome change of pace after what was essentially five days of trekking. The boat made it’s way down the river as promised – slow. We read, we worked on pictures, prepared a couple of blog posts and talked with new friends while looking and small villages, children bathing on the river bank and awesome landscapes float by.

We have posts, pictures and a couple of videos from our last couple of weeks that we’re hoping to get up ASAP, but we’ve been internet poor this last week and half, so we apologize for what looks like will be even more of a delay. But if it’s any consolation, this last couple of weeks are some of our best so far.
